Half Marathon Training
Just a few days to go to the Hyannis Half Marathon. This will be a great practice run to prep for the Great Bay Half. I raced my first Half last November and ran in under 1:53. My goal at Hyannis is to come in under 1:50. I hope to post my best time yet at the Great Bay Half as I race for Mom!
I have been racking up the mileage while training, hitting an all time high of 32.55 miles the week beginning 2/5. This week is an easy week in preparation for Hyannis. I hope to have some pictures to post next week.

Enjoy the run!
Another piece of excellent marathon running advice that I have picked up over the years is this; when the going gets rough, it’s awesome to have a few ounces of tequila or, in a pinch, sake. You can stash it in your running kit and it will give that you last minute burst of reckless energy that you may need to finish the race. Some liquor stores sell tequila in convenient “juice bags” with little pointy straws taped to the side.
Good luck!
