Another piece of excellent marathon running advice that I have picked up over the years is this;  when the going gets rough, it&#039;s awesome to have a few ounces of tequila or, in a pinch, sake.  You can stash it in your running kit and it will give that you last minute burst of reckless energy that you may need to finish the race.  Some liquor stores sell tequila in convenient &quot;juice bags&quot; with little pointy straws taped to the side.
